The entrepreneur launched an app called Diabetes Journey. Photo: A mobile phone-based app (App) has been launched in Badass courtesy of the use of digital technology in healthcare. This app called Diabetes Journey is basically a diabetes treatment guide. Based on the new guideline, the app was created by Novo Nordisk and Bangladesh Diabetic Association (Badass).
The app was announced at a function at Dhaka Club on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, AK Azad Khan, President of Badas said that this app will help the doctors to give proper medical advice as per the type of disease and the need of the patients.
Anov Shetty, managing director of Novo Nordisk, said the Diabetes Journey app is a great example of digitalisation of the national diabetes patient registration in the country. It also supports the government's 'Digital Bangladesh' efforts.
Winnie Estrop Petersen, Ambassador of Denmark appointed in Bangladesh, said that this app would be easily accessible to diabetes patients.
At the same time, a government-approved diabetes treatment guideline was shown on the occasion. The Non-Communicable Disease Control Program of the Bangladesh Diabetic Association (Badas) and the Department of Health have jointly formulated the 'Diabetes Care Badass Guideline 20'.
